Mobile, Ala. (July 28, 2011) — Sheriff Sam Cochran announced today the arrest of one suspect involved in five (5) residential burglaries in the North Mobile County area.

On July 27, 2011, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office received information, which lead investigators to respond to the residence of 12935 Mason Ferry Rd. in reference to a string of burglaries that had occurred in the North Mobile County area. The suspect, who resided at the residence has been identified as Wilton Randy Jordan (D.O.B. 10/19/62).

Investigators conducted a search of the residence and discovered a large amount of stolen items, which included jewelry, guns, laptop computers, and hunting equipment. Investigators were able to validate much of the stolen items based on several residential burglary complaints that were received in the month of July.

To date, investigators have recovered approximately $10,000.00 dollars worth of stolen merchandise and as stolen items are still being tracked down we expect that amount to rise.

Mr. Wilton Randy Jordan was arrested and transported to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Metro Jail on five (5) counts of burglary 3rd, which is a class C felony. Mr. Jordan is also suspected in at least 30 other burglaries in that area, additional charges are forthcoming as the investigation continues.
