The new formula for manufacturing meth:  a two-liter bottle, a handful of cold pills and some noxious chemicals.  Shake the bottle and you have just produced the world’s most dangerous and addictive drug.

Just a few years ago making meth required an elaborate lab containing filthy containers simmering over open flames, cans of flammable liquids and hundreds of pills.  This process gave off an odor, sparked explosions and was so hard to conceal that manufacturers often “cooked” their drugs in rural areas.

Now drug users are making their own meth in small batches using a faster, cheaper and much simpler method with ingredients that can be carried in a backpack and mixed on the run.  This method is easy for the user to make yet very dangerous for anyone in the surrounding area.

What can we as communities do to help stop this dangerous production of meth?   Make Pseudoephedrine a prescription only drug and take METH OFF OUR STREETS!
