MCSO seizes over 20 pounds of marijuana

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mobile County Sheriff’s Office seized over 20 pounds of marijuana having a street value of $20,000.00 and 90 Oxycotin pills with a street value of $5,000.00.  Today, September 24, 2014,  at approximately 9:45 am, MCSO Special Operation Deputies were on I-10, east bound at McDonald Road, when they encountered a speeding vehicle driven by BRANDON PORTER.  Deputies say when PORTER was pulled over, he refused to comply with questioning by law enforcement.  MCSO k-9 Unit alerted the Deputies to the rear of the vehicle where marijuana and oxycotin pills were found in the trunk.   BRANDON PORTER was arrested for speeding, driving with suspended license, trafficking illegal drugs and trafficking marijuana.
