Skeletal Remains found off Irvington Bayou La Batre Highway

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On January 8, 2013 at approximately 1:00 pm, four citizens from Bayou La Batre, AL were searching the side of U.S. Highway 90 near Irvington Bayou La Batre Highway for a hub-cap that had fallen off of their vehicle.  During the search they located the skeletal remains of a human body and called MOBILE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.

The human remains were located on the South side of U.S. Highway 90 approximately 200 yards East of Irvington BLB Highway.  The remains were located just inside of the wood-line from U.S. Highway 90.  The remains consisted of a human skeleton, clothing, and a wallet.  Inside the wallet was an Alabama Driver’s License.
MCSO is attempting to notify a next-of-kin.  At this time no family members have been notified.  The investigation is ongoing.
