FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Today, September 24, 2012 Mobile County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence on Lott Road for suspicious drug activity.  When deputies arrived, the front door was open and a man (VERNON EARL HASTINGS) was asleep on the sofa.  On the coffee table were syringes, spoons and a black bowl with white residue.  MCSO Patrol Deputies called Narcotic deputies to the scene with a search warrant.  Two other people, JESSICA NICOLE CRANE and BRIAN MCCALL SNOW were found in a back bedroom.  During the search the deputies found meth, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia throughout the residence.  All three, HASTINGS, CRANE and SNOW are currently out on bond for manufacturing meth.  Undercover Narcotic deputies say that they will sign four more warrants on HASTINGS tomorrow for distribution of a controlled substance.   A NO BOND has been requested on all three.  “Once again meth makers are behind bars thanks to our initiative and the help we continue to receive from the community,” says Sheriff Sam Cochran.

The Meth Initiative, designed by the MOBILE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, targets meth users and manufactures through three areas of focus:  Enforcement, Compliance and Education.  To report METH, text the word “METH” to 839863 (“textme”) or call 574-8633.
