MCSO Recovers stolen firearms from Washington County Residence

February 10, 2013, MOBILE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE received a call from Washington County Sheriff’s Office requesting assistance with a Burglary case.  MCSO dispatched Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators to assist with the case.
A number of potential leads were followed over a two day period and during the course of the investigation Matt Walker was developed as a possible suspect.
February 12, 2013, MCSO Detectives were conducting surveillance on Walker in the area of Rochester Place in Mobile.  Detectives observed Walker carrying what appeared to be several firearms. Walker was confronted and several firearms from the Washington County Burglary were recovered.  The firearms had recently had the serial numbers removed so Walker was arrested on five counts of Receiving Stolen Property and five counts of Possessing a Firearm with an Altered Serial Number.  Walker was then booked in Mobile County Metro Jail.
February 14, 2013, MCSO and Washington County Detectives executed search warrants at Walkers residences on Jeff Hamilton Road.  Several items of evidence were recovered believed to have been used in the Burglary.
February 15, 2013, MCSO and Washington County Detectives conducted follow up searches at Walkers  residence and other locations.  Detectives recovered a large number of gold and silver coins, reported to be valued at approximately $30,000, and approximately $27,900.00  The case is ongoing and additional leads are being pursued.

Early morning search warrant successful for MCSO

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Today, February 8, 2013, THE MOBILE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE executed a search warrant in the 1300 block of BROOKE AVENUE, MOBILE, ALABAMA.  MCSO arrested JAKARI MATTHEW TANNER (DOB 2/27/83) and JMESA FIELDS (DOB 9/5/82) for POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE and RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY 3RD. JAKARI TANNER  had an outstanding felony warrant.  The following listed below were found at the home;

WEAPONS;
1 – AK-47 assault style weapon with a 30 round magazine (loaded);
1 – Smith & Wesson .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun (reported stolen with the Mobile Police Department)(loaded);
1 - Beretta .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun (loaded);
1 – Marlin .22 caliber rifle with scope (loaded – sitting behind the front door);
  All the weapons were loaded and could have been used at any point during the entry.
DRUGS;
- 4 prepackaged bags of “Spice”
- 3 grams of crack cocaine
U.S. CURRENCY;
$3,399.00
Approx. $2,000.00 hidden in the heater system of the residence.

Two men stab another man over pit bull

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

 

On Tuesday evening, February 5, 2013, MIKE JARMAN and COREY WEAVER were arrested for Assault 1st.  The Victim, JOHN BLISS, was stabbed several times by JARMAN AND WEAVER over a dispute about JARMAN’S dog.  Hours before MOBILE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE received the stabbing call, JARMAN had contacted MCSO to file a compliant on BLISS for allegedly stealing his pit bull.  JOHN BLISS came to JARMAN’S HOUSE on 10240 John Shinn Road, to visit his girlfriend and their children.  JARMAN and WEAVER stab BLISS several times in the back and on his arms.

BLISS was taken to an area hospital were he is listed in critical condition.  JARMAN and WEAVER were taken to Metro Jail and charged with ASSAULT 1st.

MCSO is looking for TOMMY LEON GOLEMAN

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

 

MOBILE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE is looking for TOMMY LEON GOLEMAN.     GOLEMAN is wanted for questioning with regards to multiple vehicle thefts and burglaries that occurred within Grand Bay, Irvington, and Coden.  He currently has (4) active felony warrants and (3) active misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.   GOLEMAN is facing prison time on recent felony probation revocations.

Two females arrested for receiving stolen property and kidnapping 2nd

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

 

Earlier this afternoon, January 28, 2013, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Special Operation’s Units stopped a vehicle speeding on I-10 east bound. The vehicle was occupied by two black females and two small children (ages 3 and 4).
During the stop, Special Operations Deputies discovered that the adult females were shop lifting in Gautier, Mississippi and possessed a large amount of stolen clothes.
The two females and children were transported to the South-Side Substation and interviewed. During the interview it was discovered that one of the females worked for a day care in Mobile and they had taken the children from the daycare to accompany them on the shoplifting spree. Neither of the females are related to the children, nor did they have permission from the parents to take the children from the daycare.
The daycare is Kristina’s Kastle located at 2422 Norton Lane in Mobile.
Both subjects were charged with Receiving Stolen Property 2nd Degree and two counts each of Kidnapping 2nd Degree.
