On Tuesday, October 26, 2011, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence in Wilmer that caught fire due to a meth lab explosion.

 

CRYSTAL PARNELL, JAMIE BOYKIN, JASON SWANN AND JOHN STOKLEY were arrested for manufacturing a controlled substance 1st degree.

 

Four children under the age of 12 were in the trailer at the time of the fire. Everyone escaped without injury.

 

When the explosion occurred, JASON SWANN AND JOHN STOKELY, gathered up the meth and the ingredients and fled to a nearby wooded area.  They were later caught and arrested by sheriff deputies.

 

CRYSTAL PARNELL is the mother a 1 ½ year old cerebral palsy child and pregnant with another, and JAMIE BOYKIN is the mother of the three other children present at the time of the fire.  PARNELL, BOYKIN, and SWANN were charged with Chemical Endangerment of a child.

 

The Meth Initiative, designed by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, targets meth users and manufactures through three areas of focus:  Enforcement, Compliance and Education.
