On Thursday, February 2, 2012, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office arrested WESLEY WYATT WHITNEY and KYLE KENDRICK with (5) counts of unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle.  

MCSO deputies stopped WHITNEY and KENDRICK on Three Notch and Schillinger Road and found a small amount of stolen property inside their vehicle.  A search of WHITNEY’S residence yielded a stolen credit card and assorted stolen electronics.  Deputies also recovered stolen property from a MPD auto-burglary in September 2011.  A search of KENDRICK’S residence yielded a stolen rifle and assorted stolen electronics.

WHITNEY and KENDRICK confessed to burglarizing over 100 vehicles in the past year, 2011.  The two were also responsible for the vehicles that were burglarized last week in The Copeland Island and Windy Oaks subdivisions.

“Our investigators did a fine job in tracking these young men,” says Sheriff Sam Cochran, “ This case was solved because of some great detective work.”
