On July 23, 2011 approximately 8:00 p.m., the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a robbery to an individual at the intersection of Half Mile and Argyle Rd. Once deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered that the victim had been at the above location inside his vehicle, when a silver color Chevy Trail Blazer pulled up and blocked his vehicle, preventing him from fleeing. The victim described two white males armed with a hand gun jumped out of the suspect vehicle and robbed the victim of a undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. The suspects then jumped back into their vehicle and fled north on Argyle Rd.

Approximately 9:10 p.m., while deputies were searching the area for the suspect vehicle, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office received a second call in reference to a robbery that occurred at the intersection of Jeff Hamilton Rd and Grand Bay Wilmer Rd. The victim advised that a silver Chevy Trailer Blazer blocked his vehicle at the above location. The victim advised that a black male and a white male jumped out from the suspect vehicle armed with a hand gun and attempted to rob him. The victim was able to place his vehicle in reverse and flee the area. During the course of both robberies, the suspects were wearing bandannas around their face in an attempt to conceal their identity.

On July 24, 2011 at 12:24 a.m., deputies spotted the suspect vehicle on Two Mile Rd. and Cody Driskell Rd. and conducted a traffic stop. The vehicle was occupied by 2 white male subjects and one black male subject, who were identified as Robert Lee Smith DOB 1/4/80, Keith Allan Haynes DOB 1/1/91, and Harold Leslie Harris 12/18/84. All three suspects were still wearing the bandannas that were used in the robbery.  Investigators responded to the location of the traffic stop and all three suspects were arrested and transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail. Robert Lee Smith was charged with one count of Robbery 1st, and the other two suspects ( Haynes and Harris) were both charged with two counts of Robbery 1st each.
