Anonymous Tip leads MCSO to Marijuana Farm off Old Citronelle Highway

An anonymous tip lead MOBILE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE to find over 100 marijuana plants drying in a shed, over 150 plants in pots and two boxes full of marijuana waiting to be packaged.   The  Tip came from our website www.mobileso.com.   “  We received the tip early this morning,”  says Sheriff Sam Cochran, ” We notified our narcotic deputies and they were able to get on the property and seize the drugs before they were distributed on the streets.  We are grateful that a concerned citizen was able to provide the information we needed to shut this operation down.”   Narcotic Deputies say that the suspects purchased over 16 acres off Old Citronelle Highway and were harvesting the marijuana on the property.  MOBILE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE was assisted by ALABAMA STATE TROOPERS HELICOPTER during the seizure.    Four people were arrested on the property for Trafficking Marijuana.
